Kocasinan Municipality implements animal welfare and social projects

Kocasinan Municipality in Kayseri is implementing several large-scale social and animal welfare projects. Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar highlighted the municipality’s comprehensive model for street animals, which includes a 25,000-square-meter rehabilitation center, a dedicated 'Cat Town' in the Yakut neighborhood, a food production center capable of 500 kilograms daily, and a specialized ambulance service for animals.

Additionally, the municipality has opened 48 social facilities to improve local living standards. These include the Kocasinan Academy Social Facility, which features Olympic-sized swimming pools and sports centers, as well as various libraries and cultural centers aimed at enhancing social and educational opportunities for residents.
