Kochi Prefecture announces road closures for construction

Scheduled road closures and traffic restrictions will occur on several routes in Kochi Prefecture due to construction work.

On Prefectural Road 48, which leads toward the Shikoku Karst, time-based closures are scheduled from September 7 to September 9, 2026, in the Yoshino area of Tsuno Town. Restrictions will occur in hourly intervals throughout the day, with exceptions for emergency vehicles and buses. There are no detour routes available.

Additionally, paving work on Prefectural Road 378 in the Funato area of Tsuno Town will result in intermittent time-based closures for approximately three days between August 17 and September 30, 2026. Similar to the restrictions on Road 48, these closures will follow specific hourly windows, though no detour routes are provided.
