Kochi Prefecture to host cultural food event in Osaka

Kochi Prefecture will host the ‘SUPER LOCAL Kochi-ke Doppuri Ichiba’ event on September 6, 2026, at the OSAKA FOOD LAB in Osaka. The one-day event is part of the ‘SUPER LOCAL Kochi-ke’ Kansai promotion, designed to showcase the culture, food, and hospitality of Kochi to the Kansai region.

Inspired by Kochi’s ‘Okyaku’ culture, the event will feature live straw-fired bonito (katsuo) grilling, local sake, craft beer, and various regional delicacies. Local personality Keisuke Shibata will serve as the event navigator. Attendees can participate in a lottery for Kochi specialties and enjoy a free sake toast upon entry.
