Kochi United goalkeeper Raio Ono earns clean sheet in J3 League debut

Kochi United SC goalkeeper Raio Ono recorded a clean sheet in his J3 League debut during a 0-0 draw against Gainare Tottori on October 25. The result ended a six-match losing streak for the bottom-ranked club and marked their first shutout in 12 matches.

Ono, who previously played for Honda FC and Iwate Grulla Morioka, made several critical saves in the second half to maintain the draw. Notable interventions included a save against Daiki Shinoda in the 74th minute and a fingertip stop against Ibuki Yoshida during stoppage time.

Despite the improved defensive performance, Kochi United remains at the bottom of the league standings. Manager Takahiro Shimodaira praised the goalkeeper's performance, noting the importance of the saves in preventing a loss.
