A new anime adaptation of the manga series ‘Kochikame’ (Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo) is scheduled to broadcast on Fuji TV in 2027. The project commemorates the 50th anniversary of the original manga serialization by Osamu Akimoto.

The production features a completely new voice cast. Fukutsugu Ochiai will take over the role of protagonist Kankichi Ryotsu, succeeding Lasalle Ishii. Other key cast members include Shota Aoi as Keiichi Nakagawa, M・A・O as Reiko Akimoto, and Raikou Sakamoto as Daijiro Ohara.

Heitaro Daichi has been appointed as the director. The animation will be produced by Gallop, with music by Toshihiko Sahashi. The announcement included the release of a character PV and key visuals to introduce the new cast and staff.
