Kościerzyna Potato Day scheduled for September 6

The Kościerzyna Potato Day is scheduled to take place on September 6. Organized by the Kościerzyna branch of the Łódzki Ośrodek Doradztwa Rolniczego, the event will feature agricultural, gardening, culinary, and local handicraft stalls.

Attendees can view experimental plots showcasing 46 varieties of Polish and foreign potatoes, 5 watermelon varieties, and 36 varieties of potatoes under post-registration variety testing (PDO). The event also includes a local vineyard with various grape varieties, mini-kiwi, and other fruits.

Additional activities include demonstrations of soil sampling in collaboration with the District Chemical and Agricultural Station in Opole, as well as potato weighing and packaging shows. The event will feature a regional food zone and a machinery zone for viewing new agricultural equipment.
