Volkswagen Group announces major executive leadership reshuffle

Volkswagen Group has announced a major leadership reshuffle within its brands, effective October 1, 2026. Martin Jahn, currently a board member at Škoda Auto responsible for sales and marketing, will move to Wolfsburg to join the Volkswagen brand board, where he will oversee sales, marketing, and after-sales services. He is also nominated to join the Škoda Auto supervisory board.

Martina Biene, the current Chairperson and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Africa, will succeed Jahn on the Škoda Auto board in the sales and marketing role. Biene brings extensive international experience, having previously held various strategic and product management roles within the Volkswagen Group.

In South Africa, Christiane Zorn, currently Vice President Region Overseas at Porsche AG, will succeed Biene as the Chairperson and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Africa. This transition comes as the South African automotive market faces increased competition from Chinese brands.
