Škoda Auto celebrates 30 years of the Octavia model

Škoda Auto is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the modern Škoda Octavia generation. The first model of the current lineage rolled off the production line in Mladá Boleslav on September 3, 1996.

Over the past three decades, nearly 7.9 million Octavia units have been produced. The model has played a central role in the brand's development following its integration into the Volkswagen Group. Current production of the fourth generation takes place in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny, and Kostanay, Kazakhstan.

Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, described the Octavia as a brand icon that has driven international growth by offering practicality, safety, and value. The name was originally revived from a historical model produced between 1959 and 1971.
