Škoda Auto releases free 3D-printable vehicle accessories

Škoda Auto has released 10 different 3D-printable accessory models for free on the Printables platform, operated by Prusa Research. This initiative allows vehicle owners to use home 3D printers to manufacture custom interior components, aligning with the company’s ‘Simply Clever’ design philosophy.

The available digital files include universal items such as USB cable holders, smartphone brackets, coin cases, and top tether hooks. Additionally, the release features model-specific accessories, including cup holders and storage boxes for the Epiq and Peaq models, as well as center console organizers and cup holders for the Fabia IV.

Škoda has utilized 3D printing technology in its automotive development since 1997 and currently operates a dedicated 3D Printing Competence Centre. The facility produces approximately 15,000 parts annually, ranging from small components to one-meter-long bumper parts, primarily for design verification, aerodynamic testing, and prototyping.
