Škoda celebrates 30 years of modern Octavia production

Škoda Auto is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the modern Octavia model, which began mass production on September 3, 1996, in Mladá Boleslav. Over the past three decades, nearly 7.9 million units across four generations have been produced.

The model's history includes various iterations, such as the luxury Laurin & Klement editions, the all-wheel-drive Combi 4x4 introduced in 1999, and the high-performance Octavia RS. Rare versions like the Octavia Long, featuring an extended wheelbase for government services, were also produced in limited numbers.

Following Škoda's integration into the Volkswagen Group, the Octavia has utilized group technology to balance versatility and quality. Current production of the fourth generation takes place in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny, Kostanay, and Kazakhstan.
