Škoda Octavia introduces new hybrid and specialized Pro models
Škoda is expanding its Octavia lineup with both specialized regional variants and new powertrain technologies. The Octavia Pro, originally developed for the Chinese market, features a lengthened body of 4,753 mm to provide increased rear passenger space. This version includes sportier bumpers inspired by the Octavia RS, up to 18-inch wheels, and a 1.4 TSI four-cylinder engine producing 110 kW, paired with a seven-speed DSG transmission. While intended for China, this model has also appeared in Russian showrooms.
Additionally, Škoda is transitioning away from diesel engines in smaller models like the Octavia in favor of full-hybrid systems. The new full-hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5 TSI evo2 engine with two electric motors: a smaller generator motor and a larger traction motor. The system offers two power outputs of 100 kW or 125 kW. The vehicle can drive in pure electric mode for approximately two kilometers. Due to the hybrid battery, the liftback's trunk capacity is reduced to 460 liters.
