Škoda Octavia marks 30 years of production

The Škoda Octavia marks 30 years of production, serving as a central pillar for the Czech automotive manufacturer. Since its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September 1996, the model has become an emblematic vehicle in Central Europe.

Following Volkswagen’s acquisition of a majority stake in Škoda in 1991, the Octavia helped redefine the brand’s position within the European market. To date, more than 7.6 million Octavia units have been produced. The model's name originates from the Latin 'octava', referring to the eighth technical evolution in a lineage that dates back to a previous version launched in 1959.
