Kodak Black drug trafficking charges dropped by prosecutors

Prosecutors have declined to pursue drug trafficking charges against rapper Kodak Black, marking his second legal victory in recent days. The decision follows a November 2025 incident in Orlando where police reported finding a bag containing MDMA and $37,000 in cash. However, prosecutors filed a notice stating the case was ‘insufficient to prove possession of contraband’ due to a lack of evidence.

This dismissal follows the recent dismissal of a separate case involving charges of fleeing from police. In that instance, a South Florida judge granted a motion by attorney Bradford Cohen to throw out the case, citing procedural issues regarding how the deputy engaged with the rapper.
