Kodak Black's fleeing charge dismissed by Broward judge

A Broward County judge has dismissed a fleeing and eluding charge against rapper Kodak Black. The dismissal follows a motion by the defense regarding a February 27 traffic stop in Pompano Beach.

According to court documents, the defense argued that the initial encounter with a Broward Sheriff’s deputy was not a lawful stop. The defense noted that the deputy did not use lights or sirens, failed to request a license or insurance, and did not exit the patrol vehicle to issue a formal order. Judge Corey B. Friedman granted the motion to dismiss, finding insufficient grounds to maintain the charge.
