Kodaline releases final studio album ahead of farewell tour
Irish band Kodaline has released their fifth and final studio album, titled ‘We Were Only Young’. The 12-song record, written entirely by frontman Steve Garrigan, explores themes of love, loss, and aging. The release marks the beginning of the end for the group, which includes members Steve Garrigan, Vinny May, Jason Boland, and Mark Prendergast.
The band is currently on a farewell tour that began in June, scheduled to conclude with a final performance in Dublin on December 18, 2026. Following their debut in 2013, the band has achieved multi-platinum sales and significant global streaming numbers.
In recent discussions, band members reflected on the impact of the passing of musician Glen Hansard, noting his profound influence on the Irish music community and his role as an inspiration to many artists.
