Kodansha to release new Kamen Rider encyclopedia and historical photo book

Kodansha is releasing two major publications related to the Kamen Rider franchise to coincide with the upcoming series, ‘Kamen Rider Myce’, which is scheduled to begin broadcasting in September 2026.

The first release, ‘Kamen Rider Myce & All Kamen Riders Secret Encyclopedia’, provides detailed information on the new series, including the ‘Myce Driver’, ‘Ride Eggs’, and the characters’ transformations. It also features a retrospective of 43 major riders from the franchise’s history, spanning from 1971 to 2026.

The second publication, ‘TV Magazine Special Edition: Kamen Rider Showa 46–48 Kodansha Collection Ultimate Photo Book’, is a 400-page color volume. It contains rare steel photographs from the original 1971–1973 series, including battle scenes and behind-the-scenes shots captured by photographer Yasushi Oshima. Both books are set for release in early September 2026.
