Koei Tecmo reveals body type mechanics for Kalia's Atelier

Koei Tecmo Games has released a new video showcasing body type changes for the protagonist, Kalia, in the upcoming title ‘Kalia's Atelier: The Night Kingdom and the Signpost of Memories’.

As part of the Gust brand's latest entry in the Atelier series, the game features a mechanic where the protagonist, Kalia, can consume various items to analyze them or gain power. This consumption leads to physical changes, with the character progressing through eight distinct stages of becoming more stout.

The revealed footage demonstrates Kalia transitioning from a slender build to a fuller figure with a rounded abdomen and softer facial features. Players will have the option to toggle these body type changes on or off or lock the character into a preferred physique.

‘Kalia's Atelier’ is scheduled for release on February 25, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
