Koen Wauters faces mechanical setbacks in Fenix Rally

Belgian driver Koen Wauters has faced significant mechanical challenges during the Fenix Rally in Tunisia. During the fourth stage, Wauters' Toyota Hilux suffered a broken axle that also damaged a brake line, forcing teammate Pascal Feryn to stop and assist with repairs.

Further complications arose during the following stage when Wauters' engine began overheating just 100 meters into the start. After being towed back to the bivouac, the team identified an air bubble in the fuel system as the cause. Although the team managed to resolve the issue after a three-hour delay, the cumulative setbacks caused Wauters to drop to 33rd place in the general classification.

In contrast, Pascal Feryn experienced a more stable fourth stage, moving up to 52nd place in the overall standings and sitting seventh in the car category.
