LMSI LLC/Kofinas Olive Oil has issued a voluntary recall for its Garlic Mediterranean infused extra virgin olive oil. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall because the product contains a garlic essential oil that is not approved for culinary use.

The recalled products were sold in glass bottles in three sizes: 16.9 fl oz (500 mL), 8.5 fl oz (250 mL), and 3.4 fl oz (100 mL). The oil was available for purchase from August 31, 2025, through August 27, 2026. Distribution included direct online sales via the company website and retail sales at Montgomery Store & Infusion Kitchen and Findlay Market in Cincinnati, Ohio.

While the company reports no illnesses linked to the product, the FDA advises that individuals exhibiting signs of an allergic reaction or foodborne illness should contact a physician immediately. Consumers are instructed not to consume the oil and to monitor themselves for symptoms if it has already been used in cooking.
