KOGEI Digital Art Museum to showcase craft and digital fusion in Kanazawa

The ‘KOGEI Digital Art Museum’ exhibition will be held from October 10 to October 18 at the Ishikawa Prefectural Government Memorial Shiinoki Gallery A in Kanazawa. Organized by the Dehara Tatsuko Laboratory of the Kanazawa Institute of Technology, the event features a fusion of traditional crafts and digital art.

Graduate and undergraduate students from the university have collaborated to integrate digital video and interactive art with the works of Kanazawa craftspeople. Featured artists include metalworkers Tatsushi Mizushiro and Kotaro Uranaka, as well as Kaga Yuzen artist Daisuke Yoshimoto. The exhibition aims to create an immersive experience where traditional craftsmanship meets light and digital imagery.
