Kogi Diaspora Association commends Governor Ododo’s development strides

The Kogi Diaspora Association (KDA) in the United Kingdom has expressed support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, citing significant progress in Kogi State’s development. The association noted that the administration has prioritized continuity by completing projects inherited from the previous administration of Yahaya Bello.

Key achievements highlighted by the KDA include a major revitalization of the healthcare sector. An investment exceeding ₦7 billion has been used to rehabilitate 88 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the state’s 21 local government areas, with over 70 additional centers undergoing renovation. As of November 2025, more than 80 of these revitalized facilities had been commissioned, featuring improved electricity, water supply, and medical equipment.

In addition to healthcare, the KDA commended the governor’s investments in education, specifically the completion of the GYB Model Science Secondary Schools, as well as advancements in agriculture, rural development, and infrastructure.
