Kogi Governor Ododo pledges protection for cashew farmers and regional development

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has pledged to protect cashew farmers and investors from illegal levies and multiple taxation. During a meeting with industry stakeholders in Lokoja, Ododo identified cashew as a vital economic asset capable of generating foreign exchange and employment. He directed the Kogi State Internal Revenue Generation Service (KGIRS) to address taxation issues that harm both businesses and state revenue.

In a separate engagement with the Kabba Community Council of Chiefs, Governor Ododo promised continued government attention and infrastructure development for the Kabba and Owe communities. In response to requests from traditional rulers, the governor directed that the Obaro of Kabba Palace be remodeled and redeveloped as part of his administration's commitment to regional development.
