Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello urged to run for presidency

The Northwest Youth for Progressive Change (NYPC) has formally appealed to Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to contest the 2023 presidential election. The group argues that Nigeria requires a youth-friendly leader to address national unrest and high unemployment rates.

NYPC chairman Aliyu Usman stated that Bello has demonstrated a commitment to youth and women in Kogi State through various political appointments. The group also dismissed calls from within the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Bello to pursue the party chairmanship instead of the presidency, pledging to mobilize young voters to support his candidacy.
