APC wins all seats in Kogi State local government elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of all 21 chairmanship and 239 councillorship seats in the Kogi State local government elections. Mamman Nda-Eri, Chairman of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC), announced the results following the completion of collation across 3,508 polling units.

Electoral observers and KOSIEC officials described the exercise as peaceful, free, and credible. Visiting observers from the Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria reported no incidents of shooting, vote buying, or ballot stuffing in the areas they monitored.

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commended the peaceful conduct of the polls, attributing the improved security environment to the support of President Bola Tinubu. He noted that the calm atmosphere marked a significant departure from previous local government elections that were often characterized by violence.
