Kohima school hosts Nasha Mukt Yuva drug awareness programme

The Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat programme was held at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School (RGHSS) in Kohima on August 11. Organized by the school's NSS Unit in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports under the MY Bharat initiative, the event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage youth to lead healthy, productive lives.

During the event, youth icon Kepozo Kapuh administered the Nasha Mukt pledge to NSS volunteers. Kapuh emphasized that addiction negatively impacts health, education, careers, and families, and called for increased support for those seeking treatment, counseling, and rehabilitation.

District Youth Officer Pradeep J conducted an orientation on the MY Bharat platform, highlighting its role in youth-led development. The programme included the screening of educational videos and the administration of a drug-free pledge to reinforce the message of a responsible and drug-free youth community.
