Košice Botanical Garden to host sensory beekeeping exhibition

The Botanical Garden of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (UPJŠ) in Košice, in collaboration with the Association of Beekeepers of Slovakia (AVS) and MIMI farm, is hosting the Beekeeping exhibition from October 16 to 28, 2026.

A central feature of this year's event is a sensory installation described as an auditory tunnel. Comprising six large-format panels, the installation allows visitors to experience the life and communication of bees through a combination of visuals, sounds, and physical vibrations.

The program includes lectures from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic regarding support for the beekeeping sector, as well as practical workshops on honey comb production, wax processing, and candle making.
