Kočićev zbor festival opens in Banja Luka

The 61st Kočićev zbor, a cultural manifestation honoring the writer and national tribune Petar Kočić, has officially opened in Banja Luka. The event was inaugurated at the National and University Library of Republika Srpska by Savo Minić, the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska and President of the Organizing Committee.

During the opening ceremony, Minić emphasized that Kočić’s literary and political works reflect the desire for freedom inherent in the Serbian people. He noted that this year's program has been enhanced with additional cultural content focused on the theme of liberty.

The festival will take place in several locations, including Banja Luka, Belgrade, Stričići, Gomionica, and Jelićki. In addition to the opening ceremony, officials including Minister of Education and Culture Borivoje Golubović and General Secretary Marko Romić participated in commemorative activities, including laying a wreath at the Petar Kočić monument in central Banja Luka.
