Koikeya enters shaped potato market and launches product revival election

Koikeya is expanding its product lineup and engaging with consumers through new launches and interactive campaigns. The company is officially entering the shaped potato market with a premium line called ‘Kin no Potato’. These products, featuring ‘Yami-tsuki Shio’ and ‘Oudo Nori Shio’ flavors, are made from 100% domestic Japanese potatoes using a patented manufacturing process.

Additionally, Koikeya has launched the ‘Koikeya Revival General Election – Potato Chips Edition’. This fan-driven initiative allows customers to vote for discontinued products they wish to see return to the market. Following a preliminary round involving 20 products, five finalists from various brands—including Koikeya Potato Chips, Pride Potato, Pure Potato, Koikeya Strong, and Calmeucho/Suppa Mucho—have advanced to a final voting stage. The winning product will be re-released with original packaging via the Koikeya online shop in February 2027.
