Kojić calls for investigation into Potočari Memorial Center funding

Branimir Kojić, acting director of the Memorial of Serbian Victims of Podrinje and Birča, has called for an investigation into the financial flows and operations of the Memorial Center in Potočari.

Kojić claims there is a significant disparity in funding and institutional support between the Potočari center and institutions dedicated to Serbian victims. He stated that the Memorial Center in Potočari receives substantial funds from the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as significant international donations. In contrast, he noted that Serbian associations struggle to secure resources for their work.

Kojić also criticized the international media's portrayal of Serbian suffering, alleging that journalists often manipulate context to present Serbian victims in a negative light. He noted that while high-level international representatives, including a religious affairs official from the Trump administration, have attended events in Potočari, commemorations for Serbian victims are primarily attended by domestic officials and the Russian Ambassador.
