Kokong Festival Returns to Åland Islands for Experimental Electronic Music Weekend

The Kokong Festival will take place from July 31 to August 1, 2026, in the Stallhagen Dome on the Åland Islands. Curated by the Ström Cultural Association, the event showcases experimental electronic and electroacoustic music, featuring artists such as Nadia Struiwigh, Samuli Kemppi, Daniel Savio, Simone Ghetti, DJ Aleksi, Lauren Sarah Hayes, Yard One and Svenska Discokyrkan, alongside local Åland musicians.

Set in a transparent geodesic dome, the two‑day program blends live electronics, audiovisual installations and exploratory club sounds, emphasizing atmosphere, collaboration and the relationship between audience, performers and the Baltic landscape. The festival has become a recognized fixture on the Nordic cultural calendar, offering an immersive venue where nature, technology and experimental music intersect.
