Koku Anyidoho critiques Johnson Asiedu Nketia’s political future
Koku Anyidoho, the former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised questions regarding Johnson Asiedu Nketia’s potential bid for the party’s flagbearership. This follows Nketia’s decision not to seek another term as National Chairman, marking the end of a 21-year tenure at the party’s headquarters.
Anyidoho noted that Nketia was first elected as General Secretary in 2005 at the Koforidua delegates congress. While acknowledging Nketia’s significant political influence and his status as the first person to move directly from General Secretary to National Chairman, Anyidoho questioned how Nketia would navigate a presidential bid while working alongside individuals he describes as “ardent enemies” who previously conspired against him.
Anyidoho also addressed a past dispute regarding his suspension from the party, asserting that the decision was unilateral and holds no weight, as he remains an active member of the NDC.
