Kokuhou film set for television premiere in early 2027

The hit Japanese film ‘Kokuhou’ (National Treasure), starring Ryo Yoshizawa, is scheduled for its television premiere in early 2027 on Nippon TV’s ‘Friday Roadshow’ slot.

Directed by Sang-il Lee and based on the novel by Shuichi Yoshida, the film achieved significant commercial and critical success. It earned 10 awards at the 49th Japan Academy Film Prize, including Best Picture and Best Actor. The film also broke records by becoming the highest-grossing live-action Japanese film in 22 years, surpassing 20 billion yen in box office revenue and attracting over 14 million viewers.
