The event took place on July 29, 2026 as part of the third day of the Stettler County Fair in Alberta, Canada, and featured top riders from Canada, the United States and Australia under Canadian Professional Rodeo sanction.

A Calcutta auction opened the evening, with 30 riders split into ten three‑man teams; Team 10 (Weston Patterson, Quinten Taylor, Luke Shields) secured the highest bid of $10,500. Zeke Thurston, the event’s namesake, tied for second place with an 88.5‑point ride.
