Koldo García disputes bank restrictions on seized funds

Koldo García, a former ministerial advisor previously sentenced to 19 years in prison, has filed a complaint with the Audiencia Nacional regarding the management of his seized bank accounts.

García's defense, led by lawyer Leticia de la Hoz, alleges that BBVA has unilaterally restricted the monthly funds available to his ex-wife, Patricia Úriz, from the 2,000 euros previously authorized by a judge to just 450 euros. The defense further states that the bank has disabled the associated debit card and that Úriz is unable to access account statements online because the bank requires SMS verification sent to García's mobile phone, which has been turned off since his incarceration.

The defense is requesting that the judge, Ismael Moreno, demand explanations from the bank, provide Úriz with the last six months of account statements, and ensure future monthly disbursements follow the court-authorized terms without unauthorized limitations.
