Silesia Memoriał Kamili Skolimowskiej to host Diamond League stars

The Silesia Memoriał Kamili Skolimowskiej, part of the prestigious Diamond League, will take place on August 23 at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. The event is expected to draw world-class athletes, including pole vault world record holder Armand Duplantis, Olympic champion Julien Alfred, and Polish sprinter Ewa Swoboda. Swoboda is also set to compete in a unique 150m race against Natalia Bukowiecka.

To accommodate the large number of spectators, significant logistical measures have been implemented. Transport GZM will operate a special tram line ‘S’ connecting Katowice to the stadium, and Koleje Śląskie is offering free train travel for fans holding a valid event ticket or accreditation.

Traffic changes will also be in effect to minimize disruption for local residents. Access to the Tysiąclecia estate in Katowice via Chorzowska Street will be restricted to emergency services and public transport. Additional municipal police patrols will be deployed to manage parking and traffic flow around the venue.
