Koleje Śląskie reported record interest in bicycle transport during July 2026. The carrier sold nearly 19,000 bicycle tickets throughout the month, representing a 27% increase compared to July 2025. The highest single-day volume occurred on July 26, when 1,565 bicycle tickets were sold.

In addition to bicycle transport, the company’s ‘Wakacje z KŚ’ family promotion saw significant growth, with nearly 1,800 passengers participating—a 47% increase over the previous year.

Many passengers are utilizing the rail network to access the Beskidy region for cycling trips. To accommodate this demand, the carrier utilizes specialized rolling stock such as the ‘Velo Cug’, which can transport up to 36 bicycles at once. The growth is supported by regional cycling infrastructure, including the Velo Soła route.
