Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović building new home in Grobnik

Former Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović is building a family home in her native region of Grobnik on land inherited from her father. She expressed a desire to return to her roots, noting that while traveling the world expands horizons, returning to one's origins provides depth and balance.

Grabar-Kitarović shared that her vision for the house emphasizes natural light, large windows, and a connection to the surrounding environment. Key features of the property will include a large concrete basement for archives, a garden for vegetables and salads, and various plantings such as fruit, berries, herbs, and lavender. Although construction progress has been slow, she remains committed to the project.

Since completing her presidential term, Grabar-Kitarović has also focused on private business. In late 2022, she founded KGK Advising & Professional Services d. o. o. in Zagreb, a consultancy firm specializing in business management, market research, promotion, and public speaking training.
