Kolkata Durga Puja pandal to depict Suvendu Adhikari’s political journey

A Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata, organized by the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha at Ruby Crossing, will feature the political journey of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. The theme, titled ‘Nandigram to Nabanna: Bubair Joyjatra’, aims to depict his life from childhood through his political struggles and various movements to his rise as Chief Minister.

The exhibition will utilize various artistic mediums, including models, flex panels, rare photographs, murals, and a documentary. The display will also incorporate traditional Bengali ‘Patachitra’ art and a miniature statue of the Chief Minister.

Separately, the Suvendu Adhikari government is considering changes to the Durga Puja financial grant policy, potentially limiting assistance to smaller committees with budgets under 10 lakh rupees. Additionally, police and home guard personnel on duty during the festival will receive 10 days of extra leave.
