Kolkata Metro station brawl involves passengers and RPF staff
A physical altercation occurred at the Netaji Bhawan Metro station in Kolkata on a Monday night involving two female passengers and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel. The incident, which took place around 10 pm on the Blue Line corridor, was captured in video footage that has since circulated on social media.
According to officials, the two women, who allegedly appeared to be intoxicated, began misbehaving without provocation and reportedly attacked the station master. The scuffle involved physical violence, including hair pulling, kicking, and punching.
Following the incident, Bhowanipore police arrived at the scene. The passengers reportedly submitted a written apology and an undertaking. Metro authorities confirmed that both women were issued a fine of ₹1,000 each.
