Kolkata to host India Energy Week 2027

Kolkata has been selected to host the fifth edition of India Energy Week (IEW) from January 28–31, 2027. The event, held under the theme ‘Unlocking Innovation. Securing Energy. Shaping Tomorrow’, will take place at the New Town Convention Centre.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the conclave aims to address rising energy demand and the shifting global energy landscape. The forum will bring together energy professionals, technology innovators, and policymakers to discuss energy security, affordability, and sustainability, with a particular focus on the Global South. Topics are expected to span the energy value chain, including oil and gas, LNG, hydrogen, biofuels, and the integration of artificial intelligence in the sector.

The announcement was made by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. Bringing the flagship event to eastern India for the first time is expected to attract new investment and create employment opportunities within the region.
