Kolkata to host Legends’ El Clasico on November 25

Kolkata is scheduled to host a Legends’ El Clasico on November 25 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium). The exhibition match will feature former players from the rival Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona.

West Bengal sports officials announced the event, which follows recent high-profile football matches in the city involving the national teams of Brazil and Uruguay. While specific rosters are yet to be fully confirmed, expected participants include former stars such as Luís Figo, Carles Puyol, and Iker Casillas.

This event follows a similar legends match held in Navi Mumbai last year, where Real Madrid Legends defeated Barcelona Legends 2-0. Details regarding ticket sales, kick-off times, and broadcasting arrangements are expected to be released soon.
