Kollegieparken Kindergarten introduces cycling project for children

Kollegieparken Kindergarten in Hjørring has launched a cycling project to help its oldest children master riding without training wheels before starting school. The initiative uses pedagogical games inspired by Dansk Skolecykling to improve motor skills, balance, and concentration.

To ensure all children can participate regardless of their background, the kindergarten received support from GF Fonden to purchase two loaner bicycles and four helmets. This equipment addresses previous challenges where children were unable to join activities due to broken family bikes, forgotten equipment, or faulty helmet buckles. The project aims to provide equal opportunities and foster a sense of community through active, healthy learning.
