Kolmar Korea reports record Q2 operating profit of 110.3 billion won

Kolmar Korea reported record-breaking second-quarter results, with operating profit reaching 110.3 billion won, a 50.2% increase compared to the same period last year. This performance exceeded market expectations by approximately 17.3%. Revenue for the quarter rose 17.9% to 861.3 billion won, while net profit surged 68.9% to 70.6 billion won.

The company attributed the growth to increased demand for skincare and sun care products, alongside the global expansion of indie cosmetic brands. Kolmar Korea has been a key manufacturer for popular brands such as Beauty of Joseon, Round Lab, and Skin1004, which have seen significant success on platforms like Amazon and Olive Young.

In addition to traditional sun care, the company has expanded its innovation into scalp-specific sun protection to address concerns regarding hair loss and scalp inflammation. This surge in performance is part of a broader trend in the K-beauty ODM sector, with other major players like Cosmax and Cosmecca Korea also reporting significant quarterly growth.
