KOLONATIA: Christina Linkert launches handmade handbag brand in Lingen

Christina Linkert has founded KOLONATIA, a handbag brand based in Lingen, Germany, specializing in handmade products made from tubular wool. The brand offers customizable designs where customers can choose from four models, ten colors, and various handles and charms to create unique pieces.

What began as a creative hobby earlier this year evolved into a formal business by April. Linkert, an event and hotel management graduate who also manages a daycare and works in management assistance, developed the idea after discovering the unique properties of tubular wool. The brand name is inspired by the 'Kolonat' where her home is located, aiming to connect her personal roots with her craft.

KOLONATIA products are available through an online shop and at local retailers including Dorfkind in Baccum and Kleinstadtliebe in Lingen. Local economic development officials have praised the launch, noting that Linkert embodies the creativity and courage required in the modern economy. Due to increasing demand, Linkert is currently seeking long-term support and partners for the business.
