Kolonos traffic accident leaves motorcyclist seriously injured

A serious traffic accident occurred in Kolonos on September 12, involving a 49-year-old motorcyclist, David Serifoulou. Video footage captured by a taxi camera shows the motorcyclist proceeding through an intersection on a green light when a dark-colored passenger car traveling from Tripoleos Street collided with him.

The force of the impact threw the rider into the air. Serifoulou sustained severe injuries and was transported by ambulance to Nikaia General Hospital, where he remains under medical care.

Preliminary reports suggest the driver of the car, a woman approximately 25 years old, may have violated a red light. While the driver has reportedly denied the allegation, authorities are reviewing the video evidence and other data to determine the exact circumstances and assign responsibility.
