Kolozsvár launches program celebrating Hungarian musical stage heritage

A new cultural program series in Kolozsvár, titled ‘Hat élet, hat sors’ (Six lives, six fates), aims to showcase the heritage of the Hungarian musical stage and operetta. The series focuses on the lives and works of prominent composers rather than presenting them merely as museum pieces.

Organized by singer Róbert Plesa and his Operettissimo ensemble, the year-long journey begins on September 27. The program will highlight the personal stories and eras of composers including Béla Zerkovitz, Mihály Eisemann, Lajos Lajtai, Szabolcs Fényes, Alfréd Márkus, and Rezső Seress. The initiative seeks to connect audiences with the creators behind well-known melodies.
