Kolubara Mining Basin accident leaves one worker dead

A fatal workplace accident occurred at the ‘Radljevo Sever’ assembly site within the Kolubara Mining Basin. The incident was caused by a crane cable snapping during the loading of return stations and inclined members onto traction cables.

Two workers from Elektroprivreda Srbije were affected. One worker, identified as M. S., succumbed to his injuries at an Emergency Center, while another worker, M. Z., sustained minor injuries.

Authorities from the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Occupational Safety and Health Service, and other relevant institutions have arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation. Elektroprivreda Srbije has issued its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased worker.
