Komatsu and Williams F1 Team extend and expand partnership
The Atlassian Williams F1 Team and Komatsu have renewed and expanded their global partnership beyond the 2026 Formula 1 season. The agreement moves beyond traditional sponsorship to include deep technical collaboration and engineering innovation.
Under the new terms, Komatsu will serve as Williams’ official hydraulic innovation partner. Engineers from both organizations will collaborate on key components for future Formula 1 cars, merging Komatsu’s expertise in hydraulics and advanced manufacturing with Williams’ motorsport engineering.
The relationship has historical roots dating back to the 1990s, when Komatsu supplied components for Williams’ championship-winning cars in 1996 and 1997. The renewed deal also emphasizes talent development through the Komatsu Williams Engineering Academy, with increased support for the Williams F1 Team Driver Academy starting in 2026.
