Komatsu Forest appoints Dean O’Connor as Managing Director

Komatsu Forest has announced a leadership transition as Managing Director Brett Jones prepares to retire. Jones, who has spent nearly 40 years in the forestry business, cited personal reasons for his decision to step down.

Dean O’Connor has been appointed as the new Managing Director, effective October 1, 2026. O’Connor brings over 30 years of experience in the forestry and forest equipment industries, including more than two decades in senior roles within the Komatsu Forest Group across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and North America.

To facilitate a smooth handover, Jones will continue to work part-time for six months to assist O’Connor and his team during the transition period.
