Komatsu Forest updates harvester and forwarder machinery ranges

Komatsu Forest has announced a comprehensive update to its forestry machinery lineup, introducing a new generation of harvesters and forwarders. The update includes all seven models in the harvester portfolio and a new generation of six-cylinder forwarders, such as the Komatsu 855, 875, and 895.

Central to these updates is the implementation of the AGCO Power CORE engine platform. This new engine architecture is designed to provide higher power and torque, allowing machines to operate at lower engine speeds without sacrificing productivity. This shift aims to reduce fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions across various operating conditions.

Key mechanical improvements include revised hydraulic systems to reduce pressure losses and reworked hydrostatic transmissions. In the harvester range, new crane designs featuring more robust builds and increased cast components have been introduced to improve durability in demanding environments. The manufacturer also noted improvements to the operator environment to enhance usability and comfort.
